The Academy of Civil, Agricultural and Geological Engineering (CAGE) is a combination of the former Civil Engineering (CE) Department Advisory Committee, which was organized in the fall of 1981, and the Academy of Civil Engineering which was organized in 1986. They were formed to serve as multipurpose liaisons between the Department and the Engineering profession.

The steel bridge competition was May 22-23 at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri. The 7-person crew set things up on May 22nd – one can see such on the NMSU Facebook sites. The NMSU results were 33 out of 47 teams from throughout the North American continent. The concrete canoe competition is June 20-22
